Although I will forever be dreaming about an Apple Watch, my Fitbit Blaze does the trick and is a great option for people who don't want to break the bank.
I bought my Fitbit Blaze about a year ago when I decided to finally start training for a half marathon and I loved it. It would track my runs, their distance, where I went, my pace, and heart rate. It does everything you can need while training for an event, but it is actually so much more.
Of course everyone knows about the steps feature, but one feature I thought was super unique was a feature that showed you work outs to do. It demonstrates the move (ex. crunches) and then tells you to go and counts down for you. I think this feature is really cool and unique.
I can also read texts that I receive and see when I am getting a call. You can't text back or answer the call, but it is still a nice little feature if you are at work and can see if it is important or not without taking out your phone (perfect for people like me who have always been a server or a flight attendant or retail).
You can also set alarms and it wakes you up or goes off with a gentle vibration. It is a lot less harsh than a loud honking alarm.
Some people love the sleep track feature, it is not for me, but it is also something that it can do.
It will also vibrate if you haven't moved enough in the past hour and it will encourage you to move if even just a little bit.
Track your workouts and track your food intake with the app on your phone and work towards a healthier lifestyle!
If you are anything like me and like to run outside and track all of it, this is the choice for you!
A side note, often people ask me "if I like my Apple Watch" and I tell them it is a Fitbit but that I love it!
I also love all of the mix and match options you can buy for super cheap on Amazon to dress up or down the look of the band. I love my white band with "rose gold" for around the face of the watch. I need to update my bands, but they can be changed so easily and are so cheap.
For those of us who can't afford the Apple Version, like me, I highly recommend investing in a Fitbit Blaze or one of the smaller options. Target, Groupon, Amazin, Fitbit site, look everywhere and get the best price and then go have fun shopping Amazon for cute bands!
